Physiotherapy is a health care field that treats and prevents disorders in human movement caused by injury and disease. It helps the individuals who have problems affecting the musculo-skeletal system to find a functional level. Our physiotherapists use various techniques to treat you such as manual therapy, sport therapy and progress by exercises, the McKenzie approach, electrotherapy, an evaluation followed by a Cybex/Biodex isokinetic session, hydrotherapy (whirlpool bath), Muscle Activation Technique, etc. Our patients can expect to improve their balance, stamina, force and coordination, which will help them to remain active in their daily life
Sabrina Sabelli graduated at McGill University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Athletic Therapy at Concordia University in 2002.She began working at Action Sport Physio upon her graduation. She has completed various APTEI courses including the back, pelvis, sacroiliac joint, hip, shoulder and cervical spine. She has also completed the McKenzie courses for the cervical and lumbar spine, as well as a Mulligan course for the lower quadrant, and a manual therapy course.
In 2001-2002, she was a student athletic therapist for U-16 Lac St Louis Lakers soccer team and she was also the student athletic therapist for Lac St Louis Midget AAA hockey team. From 2003-2005, Sabrina was a certified personal trainer and a member de A.N.I.E. During that time she was also as fitness consultant and a member of the Canadian Exercise Physiology Association. Sabrina was a member of the Canadian National Synchronized Figure Skating Team from 1998-2003 where she won the Canadian Championships and placed third with her team at the World Championships.
When Sabrina is not at the clinic she enjoys rollerblading, figure skating, weight and cardio training.
Rania Elias graduated with a Bachelor of physiotherapy from the Lebanese University in 2006 and a Masters’ degree in Osteopathy and Manual therapy from Saint Joseph University in 2008. Rania then pursued many academic and non-academic postgraduate courses to enrich her career to finally earn a diploma in Physical Education from Cote d’Opale University, France – 2012. She is a licensed physiotherapist in Dubai, a member of the Order of Physiotherapists in Lebanon (OPL), and a member of the Ordre Professionnel de la Physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ). Rania is also a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner (CKTP) and holds an international diploma in Ergon® IASTM Technique.
Rania has over 14 years of clinical experience in treating patients with a multitude of various conditions. She primarily worked in a clinical type setting with extensive experience in long-term rehabilitation cases, using her strong emphasis of manual based therapy and exercise prescription coupled with individualized treatment programs. To overcome the challenges encountered in physiotherapy during the pandemic, Rania recently completed a course related to telerehabilitation practice (from the University of Alberta) to reduce all barriers and improve patients’ access to care.
Being fluent in written and spoken Arabic, French and English suits her better serving in a multicultural awareness.
Rania is a strong believer in Hands-on therapeutic approach associated with intense patient motivation and involvement to achieve optimal healing.
Brandon completed his Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation science with a major in physiotherapy at McGill University in 2020, then completed his Master of Science in physiotherapy at McGill University in 2021.
He has had previous experience as a student at the Jewish General Hospital working with patients after cardiovascular surgeries, at the Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre working with stroke patients, at Physiothérapie Universelle Deux-Montagnes specializing in telerehabilitation, and at Action Sport Physio in Ville Saint-Laurent treating a private physiotherapy clientele.
Brandon is a believer that an active lifestyle is the key to a complete rehabilitation. When not at Action Sport Physio, you can usually find him skiing, playing or watching tennis/pickleball, or at the gym
Sierra completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Queen's University in 2019 and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at McGill University in 2021.
Throughout her studies, Sierra volunteered with McGill's Varsity Men's Hockey, Women's Soccer, and Women's Hockey teams; the Montreal Alouettes; and at Wimgym and Gymnix gymnastics gyms. She also gained experience at Montreal General Hospital, Richardson Hospital, Douglas Mental Health University Institute, and a number of private clinics. Sierra has developed special interests in athletic injuries and conditions, pelvic health physiotherapy, and aquatic therapy.
Sierra is a strong believer in holistic wellness and the importance of a balanced lifestyle (with room to treat yourself!). Outside of work, Sierra loves biking, reading, and baking.
