Erika Kosarko, RMT, B.Sc. (Kin)Erika graduated from the 3000 hours Massage Therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2008 and completed her board exam with exceptional performance. She earned a B.Sc. in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2005.Upon graduating from the massage therapy college, it was an easy transition to combine her background in kinesiology and massage therapy focusing on musculoskeletal injuries from an orthopaedic approach. Erika has experience working with athletes, from the recreational level to high level competitive athletes Currently, she is also a Primary instructor and Teaching assistant at WCCMT.

Kevin Chen
Kevin Chen B.H.Sc, M.Sc.PT, CAFCIKevin graduated from the University of Alberta obtaining his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Kevin has extensive background working with individuals with orthopaedic and sports-related injuries from his experience as a trainer for minor league hockey, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball teams. He is certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and with the Brian Mulligan Mobilization with Movement Concept. He has also completed Level 2 postgraduate courses in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. Kevin believes in active rehabilitation by providing appropriate exercises to the client as well as providing hands-on rehabilitation Outside of work, Kevin enjoys weight-lifting year round, snowboarding in the winters and golfing in the summers. Lynda Lawrence
Lynda Lawrence Grad Dip Phys Registered Physiotherapist FCAMT, CGIMSLynda is a UK trained physiotherapist with over 25 years clinical experience and extensive post-graduate education. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists and uses a combination of manual therapy, exercise and education in her treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. She has specific post-graduate training in the management of pelvic floor dysfunction (symptoms of incontinence and/or pelvic pain) for both women and men. Her interest in Women’s Health issues also includes pre- and post-natal care and the management of osteoporosis. Lynda maintains a keen interest in the physiotherapy profession and is currently involved with committees in the College of Physical Therapists of BC and local specific interest groups.She enjoys leading an active lifestyle in particular: playing field hockey, yoga, running (completed both 10km and half marathons) and exploring the BC outdoors with her family. Kerry Maxwell
Kerry is starting her gradual return to work in January of 2023 following her total knee replacment. She will not be taking any new patients, but welcomes back anyone she has treated in the past. Kerry Maxwell B.Phty, MCPA, CGIMS, RCAMTKerry graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia in 1988. Her major focus since graduation has been orthopaedic and sports injury rehabilitation, but she also has extensive training in ergonomics and functional evaluation. In addition, in 2004, Kerry was certified in Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation). Kerry has owned Burrard Physiotherapy since 2004 and has continued to drive the high standard of care. In order to maintain continuity of treatment standards, you are most likely to run into Kerry when she is covering vacation time for one of the other therapists. Shahab Rezania
Shahab Rezania B.Sc., B.Sc.PT.,M.Phty (manipulative), CGIMSShahab Rezania received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Physiotherapy from McGill University in 1998 and 2001, respectively. In 2004 he completed a Masters degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Australia. Shahab also completed his certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) at the Institute for the Study of Pain (ISTOP) in 2008. Shahab uses his clinical skills in the analysis and management of clients with musculoskeletal problems. Integrating IMS into his physiotherapy practice allows him to diagnose and treat the chronic myofascial pain that can be present in the musculoskeletal system in the absence of any obvious sign of injury or inflammation. Shahab’s treatment techniques include soft tissue manipulation, myofascial release, manual therapy, spine and joint mobilization and manipulation, intramuscular stimulation, and exercise therapy. His personal interests include advanced diagnosis of posture and muscle imbalances which may lead to chronic pain, work and sports injuries, treating headaches, neck, shoulder, lower back, hip, knee, and ankle disorders. Shahab enjoys problem solving and endeavors to find ways to help people improve their quality of life and maximize their potential. Linda (Marilyn Ruth) Warren
Linda Warren BScPT, MManipTher, CGIMS MCPA Linda has been a registered physical therapist for over 18 years. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University she completed her Master’s Degree in Perth, Western Australia specializing in Manipulative Manual Therapy. Linda has extensive work experience across many specialty areas of physical therapy including sports and orthopaedics, neurology, oncology and joint replacement rehabilitation settings. Linda is a registered Gunn IMS practitioner. She is also a clinical teaching assistant for anatomy at UBC. Linda’s treatment philosophy incorporates manual therapy, exercise and education along with pain management and posture correction strategies. Outside of work, Linda competes internationally in outrigger canoe distance racing, surfski racing and plays ice hockey. Siti Farhana Abdul Kadir
Siti Farhana Abdul Kadir BAppSc (Phty), APAM Registered Physiotherapist MCPA Farhana graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia, with a BAppSc (Physiotherapy) in 2008, on a Health Sciences Scholarship from Singapore. Since graduation, she has worked in an acute hospital, rotating through intensive care, general medicine, geriatrics, and orthopaedics. From there, she went into outpatient spinal care and sports medicine. In the latter, she was working in a multidisciplinary sports clinic with in-house sports doctors, orthopaedic surgeons, podiatrists, dietitians, and exercise physiologists. In those formative years, she provided physiotherapy coverage for a variety of sporting events, including the 2009 Asian Youth Games, 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games, 2012 Asian Netball Championships, and other sports from triathlons to soccer. Assimilating the knowledge and skills gathered from these experiences, she ventured into private practice and has since worked in various parts of Australia, including Queensland, Darwin, and rural Western Australia. Born and raised in Singapore, Farhana grew up playing netball competitively and was on the national youth teams. Her focus is on orthopaedics, with special interest in knees and ankles, having herself gone through an ACL reconstruction as well as an ankle ORIF due to sports injuries. The first-hand experience of being on the other side of the table has helped her gain further empathy, understanding, and compassion as a healthcare provider. She is excited to be in Vancouver and is looking forward to building a network of happy clients. Alice Podmore
Alice attended McGill University and obtained a Bachelors of Rehabilitation Sciences in 2015 and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2016. Over the course of three years, she worked with the cross country, track and field, and men’s rugby teams while also competing as a varsity athlete herself. Alice finished her degree studying abroad in England, where she had the opportunity to work with a division one professional women’s soccer team and their developmental program, which affirmed her desires to pursue a career in sports therapy. Alice believes in combing education, exercise prescription, and manual therapy to reach goals and encourage self management. Outside of work Alice keeps active with hobbies such as rock climbing, hiking, field hockey, and training for her first half-marathon.
Gemma Greig
Gemma Greig comes to us from Glasgow, Scottland with a degree in Sports Therapy as well as a degree in Physiotherapy. She has worked with all age groups using her sports background to return patients to the active lifestyles they love.
Matt Godbeer
Matt is a recent graduate of the Brunel University Masters of Physiotherapy program in London, England. Prior to earning his masters he earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from UBC. Matt is originally born in South Africa before moving to Fort McMurray, AB in the early 2000’s. Matt then moved to Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island where he attended high school before starting his studies at UBC. Matt is a former elite athlete who competed for and captained the UBC Thunderbirds swimming team. He competed both nationally and internationally trying out for two Olympics before retiring and focusing on his career. Matt is an active person who enjoys playing sports such as golf, soccer, tennis, volleyball and many more. Due to his love of golf Matt is also Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified. This allows him to conduct functional screens of a players body to determine any stability or mobility issues which could be contributing to certain swing disturbances in their game. Together with his knowledge of the human body and exercise prescription, he can create a program tailored to your needs to keep you moving and playing your best game. Matt takes a multi-modal approach to treatment utilizing a combination of patient education, patient specific exercises as well as manual therapy. Matt believes in a patient-centered approach which focuses on the individual and their goals. Emily Manning
Emily has been a Certified Athletic Therapist since 2016. She completed her BSc Kinesiology in 2013 at Queen’s University before attending Mount Royal University to study athletic therapy. Through the use of therapeutic exercise and manual therapy her goal is to restore pain free movement and help clients effectively return to work, sport or life. Emily also works with Langara College providing athletic therapy services to their student athletes. Emily also works with our patients with osteoarthritis (OA) in the GLAD program to facilitate and restore function. The GLAD program has been shown to delay (or in some cases remove) the need for joint replacment surgery.
Patrick Au
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Patrick completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Prior to this, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Biomechanics at UBC. Due to his sporting background, he has a strong interest in orthopedics management and sporting injuries. He believes in a patient-centred approach while utilising manual therapy, exercise and education. In addition, Patrick has completed his Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Level 1 course, as he believes the incorporation of strength training can benefit all patients. His passion for rehabilitation for people of all fitness levels stems from his hospital and private practice experience where he was treating pre- and post-operative patients. He provides evidence-based treatments to optimise his patients’ rehabilitation in order to help them self-manage, prevent re-injury and achieve their long-term goals. Outside of work, Patrick has a great passion for sports and food. He enjoys playing ice hockey, golf and snowboarding, and is an avid follower of the NHL, NFL and NBA. On weekends, you can find him checking off different restaurants on his list. Patrick is multilingual and speaks English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Carly's interest the mechanics of the body and physiotherapy began early on as a competitive Irish Dancer. After 15 years of competition and time on tour Carly hung up her dancing shoes to focus on school. In 2006, she received a Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma in Edmonton. Later she returned to school in Australia to gain a deeper understanding of the practice of physiotherapy as well as the inner workings of the body through anatomy, physiology, and yoga courses. In 2010, upon returning to Canada completed a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training and began weaving the knowledge of the body along with the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga to create a rehabilitative style of instruction. Carly's goal is make yoga accessible to everyone regardless of injury, condition, age, strength, flexibility, or background. Carly is currently in teacher training in clinical pilates and is offering her services in pilates as a student teacher at a discounted rate. Carly has been fortunate enough to have experience working with the Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta, summer programs with the Paralympics Association as well as individuals and groups with Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, fractures, back trauma and pain, low blood pressure, migraines, and chronic pain.
