Physiotherapy promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, and physical intervention.At the core is the patient's involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.
Darcy graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2002 and received his Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2006. In 2009, he received his FCAMPT designation.
Darcy completed his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) in 2016. Darcy has also earned his certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) through the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain (iStop) and his acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Darcy is also an Affiliated Clinical Educator with the University of Alberta Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Darcy's advanced training allows him to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, although he has a special interest in spinal and TMJ related injuries. In clinical practice, his treatment philosophy includes using a combination of manual therapy and needling to restore joint mechanics, followed by muscle retraining and motor control strategies to correct movement dysfunctions.
Darcy is actively involved in mentoring students who are completing extensive post graduate education in the area of orthopaedic manual therapy, and he has held the position of Vice President, President and Past President of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT).
Teri is a Registered Physiotherapist with degrees from Wilfred Laurier University (Bachelor of Science Biology) and the University of Alberta (Masters in Physical Therapy). Upon graduating, she specialized in orthopaedic physiotherapy.
Teri is particularly interested in manual therapy and intramuscular stimulation (IMS). She has completed numerous manual therapy courses including the Mulligan concept, Modern MSK spinal manipulation, and various levels of the advanced integrated musculoskeletal physiotherapy program. She is rostered to perform spinal manipulation and intramuscular stimulation (IMS). Her interest in orthopedics and sports medicine has led her to treat a variety of age groups and injuries including motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and other neuromuscular dysfunction.
Teri strongly believes in finding the root cause of your injury and conducts her assessments and treatments by considering the body as a whole. She implements a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy, intramuscular stimulation, and exercise therapy to restore function and prevent further injuries.
In her spare time, Teri enjoys anything that gets her outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
Lindsay graduated from Trinity Western University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with Great Distinction and went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2019.
Since graduating, she has taken various post-secondary professional development courses including Mulligan Concept: Mobilization with Movement; Spinal Manipulation; and Intramuscular Stimulation/Dry Needling, Lindsay also specializes in Vestibular Rehabilitation, treating conditions involving vertigo and dizziness.
Lindsay is passionate about treating people of all ages. She believes in conducting a thorough assessment to get to the root of your problem and uses a combination of manual therapy, dry needling and individualized exercise prescription to effectively treat a wide range of conditions. She believes building trust and rapport with clients from day one is essential to a successful treatment plan. Outside of the clinic you can find her hiking, camping and spending time with family.
Nicole graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Distinction in 2019 and received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2023.
Nicole has a special interest in treating individuals with a wide variety of vestibular issues, having completed further advanced certification in vestibular assessment and treatment.
In clinical practice, she strives to provide a highly personalized approach to rehabilitation ranging from sport related injuries to everyday aches and pains. Her approach includes a combination of patient education, manual therapy techniques, and personalized therapeutic exercise prescription. Nicole’s goal with rehabilitation is to restore patient’s function with an emphasis on building patient independence when dealing with injury.
Born and raised in Saskatoon, Jessica completed her studies at the University of Saskatchewan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, minoring in exercise and sport studies and went on to pursue her Masters of Physical Therapy.
Jessica has a passion for sport and fitness. Out of the clinic, Jessica can often be found hiking, wakesurfing, strength training or traveling.
Clinically, Jessica utilizes manual therapy and thoughtfully prescribed exercises to optimize her clients' outcomes and improve overall well-being. Jessica believes in a preventative rehab approach to get clients back to where they want to be and prevent future injuries!
